After-school Success: Math Buddies and Study Pals

Math Buddies & Study Pals is an enrichment program where high school students under the direction of an experienced teacher and incorporating library resources and hands-on activities, provide homework help and support reading and math achievement. In addition, Parents/caregivers will be provided with information on online resources and circulating materials that will aid in their child’s learning so families can continue to work on skill building together in the library and at home.

Program Registration:

 (J712)  Study Pals: For children in K – 5th grade. Volunteer teens provide homework help and skill building for students in grades K – 5th grade. Bring your homework or build your skills by playing one of our fun an interactive games!

Access Video On Demand: Just for Kids: Just for Kids Access Video gives kids a fun and educational place to stream a wide variety of videos without advertisements.

BookFlix: Scholastic BookFlix is an online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. This engaging resource will help early readers develop and practice essential reading skills.

Brainfuse Live Homework Help: Got Homework? Get FREE help online from real tutors. Live academic assistance is available every day from 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM! Includes K-12 Student Center, College Center, and Adult Education & Career Center.

Educate Station: Educate Station provides ready-to-use, hands-on activities for Pre K – 5th grade. Learning plans and worksheets are provided for ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Social Emotional Learning subject areas. The Educate Station team is committed to inspiring joyful learning and supporting kids, teachers, and parents.

Tumble Books – An online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love.
