The library’s Mujeres Latinas program was honored by Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone during National Welcoming Week 2016, an initiative of Suffolk County and of Long Island WINS which recognizes welcoming work and outreach across Suffolk County. The Mujeres Latinas program focuses on connecting Spanish speaking women with the library services available in their community, and with each other.
