This past year has been a whirlwind for all of us! The pandemic has challenged our community, impacting our neighbors, friends, and families in unanticipated ways. Our library has remained proactive throughout this time, communicating and engaging with you through our social media accounts as well as through our print and electronic newsletters. Our staff have been working diligently to provide a continuous flow of resources and services and have developed a wide array of virtual programs to accommodate all of our patrons. Curbside assistance is still being offered although the library has resumed regular library hours. We most certainly miss our signature in-person events and we made every attempt to capture the spirit and essence of International Museum Day, the Spring Jubilee and the Women’s EXPO through virtual platforms.

Since the pandemic began, we offered over 1,075 virtual programs with 31,350 viewers, 315 temporary library cards were issued, 405 questions were answered via email, 530 virtual one-on-one appointments were conducted and 3,100 curbside pickups were delivered.

As part of our annual message, we provide a summary of next year’s budget. The proposed 2021/2022 reflects an increase of .6%, which is below the tax cap limitation. We strive to be financially prudent while providing exemplary services, programs, and resources to remain a steady local employer and as always your neighborhood library. We hope that you continue to enjoy all that the library offers. Thank you for the ongoing support.
