MCPL continues to play a vital role in the community and remains committed to providing a high level of service and quality programs. We strive to be an inviting destination for people of all ages and from all walks of life, challenging ourselves to deliver new library services and experiences for our patrons.

This past year, MCPL proudly unveiled our newest creative project to the community – the Innovation Space, see page 3. We invite you to explore new technologies, participate in the creative process and collaborate with one another.

We held 5,770 library programs, issued 3,400 new library cards, offered 2,771 one-on-one appointments, and provided 2,278 notary and passport appointments.

As part of the annual message, a summary of next year’s budget is included. The proposed 2023/2024 budget reflects an increase of .98%, which is below the tax cap limitation. We strive to be financially prudent while providing exemplary services, programs, and resources to remain a steady local employer and as always, your neighborhood library. We would like to express our sincerest appreciation for your support of the library and hope that you continue to enjoy all that it offers.

Please contact Sophia Serlis-McPhillips, library director, at 631-585-9393 ext. 219 or email with any questions you may have pertaining to the budget.
